CBSE Board 2020: The
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday released a detailed
circular regarding the rescheduling of CBSE Board Exams 2020 and promotion of
students in classes 1 to 8 to the next class without any examination. CBSE, in
its circular, stated that it will give notice of about 10 days to all
stakeholders before starting the board examinations.
Important message regarding
CBSE Board 2020 revised exam dates:
"With regard to
rescheduling board examinations for classes 10 and 12, it is informed that at
this stage it is difficult for the Board to decide and announce the new
schedule for examinations."
"However, it is informed
that any decision that the board will take with regard to the conduct of
examinations will be taken by undertaking extensive consultation with higher
education authorities and by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams,
admissions dates, etc. in mind. In this context, it is further informed that
the Board will give notice of about 10 days to all stakeholders before starting
the Board examinations," CBSE said in a circular issued on Wednesday.
This year, the CBSE Class
12, Class 10 Board exams 2020 were postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak in
India.
Further, CBSE said that
it is difficult for the board to decide and announce the new schedule for Class
10 and Class 12 examinations. It is likely that the board will announce the
fresh CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examination dates only after the 21-day
lockdown ends.

appearing for CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 board examination across the
country are requested to keep a close check on the official website
(cbse.nic.in) for latest updates on fresh examination dates.
CBSE Board Exam 2020
postponed in northeast Delhi:
On March 9, the board
announced the fresh examination schedule of classes 10 and 12 exams which were
postponed in northeast Delhi in view of the recent violence. Due to the law and
order situation in North East Delhi District the board was not able to conduct
exams on 4 examination days, while a very small number of students from and
around this District were not able to appear in exams on 6 examination days.
As per the circular
released by CBSE, the board was not able to conduct exams on 8 examination days
due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
CBSE to conduct board
exams for 29 subjects only:
Further, CBSE informed
that the board will conduct examinations for only main subjects that will be
required for promotion and maybe crucial for admissions in higher educational
institutions.
Therefore, as and when
the board is in a position to hold examinations, it shall hold examinations
only for the following 29 subjects:
CBSE 10th, 12th Results
2020: Expected result dates
According to experts, it
is likely that the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board results 2020 will be
declared by May end only if the board examination gets over in the month of
April. After the CBSE Class 12 Board Result 2020 and CBSE Class 10 Board Result
2020 will be announced, all the candidate can check their scores at cbse.nic.in
and cbseresults.nic.in.

evaluation of answer scripts:
Due to 21-days
coronavirus lockdown in India, the board has not been able to continue its
evaluation work. The CBSE will come out with further instructions for
evaluating in the changed circumstances.
