SC asks CBSE to decide on holding of
pending exams by Tuesday
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India on
Wednesday directed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to hold
consultation and take a decision on Board exam by Tuesday when it will consider
a plea of parents for not holding exams in view of corona pandemic.
Also the apex court asked the Board to
examine whether examination of the remaining paper for Board exam could be
scrapped and s could be alloted on the basis of internal assessment.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)
had said that schools, colleges, educational/training/coaching institutions
will be opened after consultation with States and UTs during Phase II of
Unlock1.
Union Human Resource Development (HRD)
Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had on Tuesday held a review meeting with
the Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department, Chairman of Central
Board of Secondary Education and Director General of National Testing Agency
(NTA), to discuss the present education scenario.
