CBSE will conduct the Business Studies Exam 2017 for Class 12th on March 16. Business Studies is a subject that is based more on the clarity of concept than rote learning. 60 percent of the paper is based on case problems, high order thinking skills and evaluation based questions and 40 percent paper is based on the understanding wherein an average student could score good marks. While writing the paper, students should keep certain points in mind so that they could present their ideas in the best possible manner.

• Candidates are advised to begin the answer with proper statement. The statement should be based on the question. For example, ‘Management is called a profession due to the following reasons:’

• While attempting the Opinion based questions, students should validate their point of agreeing or disagreeing by giving supported reasons.

• Students should present the answer properly as it matters a lot.

• All parts of the questions should be attempted altogether.

• Do not beat around the bush giving lengthy explanation. Instead, write to the point. If 3 points are asked, write 3 not 5. The marks will be given for the first three points only.

• Do not write the answer twice. The marks will be written for the first attempt only and the second one will not be considered.

• HOTS should be attempted at the end.

• Read the questions carefully.

• Use ‘quotes’ wherever required.
